The output from the Business Roadmapping process is in a simple visual format but the process does not negate the need for rigorous analysis both of what might be expected to happen. The process should build in flexibility to respond to any departure from the initial view of the business preferred future. The Business Roadmap must be credible and evidence-based.
Graphical formats help communicate the plan and streamline proposed actions.
